1. Soggy Dollar Bar
Famous for their Painkiller drink. Soggy dollar is open early in the morning making it an ideal place to start your Jost Van Dyke Bar Hop. Order a painkiller and start the day swinging in hammocks in a quiet paradise island setting.
Soggy dollar got it’s special name from when not so long ago, before the island had electricity and paved roads, visitors had to swim from boats to soggy dollar. Soaked from the swim, the bills from the pockets are hung on the infamous clothesline to dry, thus the name Soggy Dollar. The same line is still there — even though the bar now takes credit cards — reserved for those who want to keep the Soggy Dollar tradition alive.
