Foxy’s Tamarind bar throws a world famous Jost Van Dyke New Year’s Eve party every year. Head to this little island for one of the biggest, carefree New Year’s Eve parties in the Caribbean.

Foxy’s Tamarind Bar celebrates “Old Year’s Eve,” party that lasts for two days! Watch the sun go down and party until the sun comes up again with live music, dancing, eating, rum and more rum. Sparkly bikinis for the ladies and board shorts for men are the normal dress code at the laid-back island New Year’s Party.

General admission to the bar and Foxy’s “Outback” is free and open to the public, although Foxy’s also offers a premium six-course dinner with open bar and a VIP section which you can book for your Jost Van Dyke New Year’s.

It’s been more than three decades since Foxy’s Bar held its first Old Year’s Night. Each year the New Year’s Eve party has a different theme for the theatrics. Find out what it is on their website and dress for it if you want to be extra festive.

Accommodation on Jost Van Dyke is very limited. The normal population on Jost van dyke is just 300, and on New Year’s Eve thousands of people head to Jost Van Dyke. We recommend booking well in advance whether it is at Glass house BVI or at one of the other Jost Van Dyke villas. If everything is fully booked (which it always is) other options include taking a ferry from one of the other islands or sleeping on your yacht in the harbor. We obviously see the benefit of having a house on the island but booking well in advance is essential.
